My Honest Review About AdSterra Ad Netwrok

There are some things I like about using Adsterra ad network, most have been mentioned in my cons of using Adsterra ads.

One is that getting approved on Adsterra is way easy compared to Google Adsense. All you need to do is to signup or register as a publisher, add your website and embed the verification code as instructed on your blog.

The publisher dashboard of Adsterra is easy to navigate, and it is well simplified. Once you are approved, you can add more than one Ad unit to your blog. The ad unit is located on the same line on your website url. Check the image below.

Once you click on add unit, a dialogue box will pop up, you can select and deselect the ad type and format you want to display to your audience. Check the image below to see what I am talking about.

My Honest Review About AdSterra Ad Network

Adsterra customer support is awesome, in fact they can help you to display ads with higher CPM if you have both good source of traffic, large amount of views and good earning records. In addition, they have various payment methods and their payment is swift once they verify your earnings.

One thing a lot of websites that provide reviews on Adsterra won’t tell you is about their ad rates. If you don’t have enough loyal viewers or audience coming to your blog, I won’t recommend you to use Adsterra ads, because you may earn a little.

Why?

Because Adsterra display low paying ads. Well a lot of people may say your niche and traffic location matters as well. Nevertheless, the amount you will earn on Adsterra with the same criteria of niche and traffic won’t be up to how much you will earn on Adsense. However, there is a niche that is highly profitable on Adsterra more than that of Adsense for those who don’t receive tier 1 traffic (Tier 1 traffic is visitors from US, Canada, UK, etc.), just keep on reading to find out.

Another thing I dislike about Adsterra ads is that they increase bounce rate. Yes you heard me.

For those who don’t know what bounce rate is all about – Bounce rate is the percentage of how long a user stays on your blog. It is the percentage of people that land on your blog page and leave. You can also say the percentage of people that bounced in and bounced out.

Higher bounce rate isn’t good for a website owner. Imagine people coming to your blog and seeing intrusive or annoying ads such as popunder, social bar ads displaying on the page they are visiting. They won’t want to stay long because of the annoying ads.

I have heard a lot of people complaining about reduced traffic when they joined Adsterra ads.

Let me tell you a profitable niche that can earn more on Adsterra for those not receiving or depending on tier 1 traffic. The niches are:

  • Download niche (either music, movies or software download website)
  • Online tools
  • Scholarship niche
  • Finance niche
  • Relationship niche
  • Adult niche

You can leverage on any of the above mentioned niches and start making money on Adsterra. I have made some couple of $$$ on Adsterra. Don’t worry I will show you payment proof below.

Before you join Adsterra ad network as a publisher, you will need to know the publisher’s requirements

Adsterra ads publisher’s requirements

Adsterra now has no restrictions for the am mount of traffic. They have changed their policy about traffic volumes, and now even accept small websites to their network.

  • No fake traffic allowed
  • No traffic manipulation or traffic exchanges allowed
  • No adult content, drug or other illegal content allowed

Getting started with Adsterra is simple

Adsterra review: Is Adsterra worth it

Adsterra ads are good for publishers who find it difficult to join as networks such as Google AdSense, Mediavine, Ezoic, Monumetric, Shemedia or Raptive. Moreover, if you don’t mind displaying annoying ads on your website or ads that could prevent users from visiting or staying long on your website then you can join Adsterra ad network, because one of the best paying ad formats in Adsterra are popunder and social bar ads.

I have made some amount of money on Adsterra, besides few things I love about the ad network are their customers support and swift payment if the traffic coming to your blog is legit and not bot.

If you have any issues or queries, you can easily contact their customer support and a response will be provided to you as soon as possible, this is a feature Adsterra has over ad networks like Google AdSense.

However, I have seen some users online that have praised the ad network, while some have complained about the negative effect of Adsterra ads.

Websites that are not allowed on Adsterra

Not all websites are allowed to display Adsterra ads. There are some website categories that will be rejected by Adsterra if any of the following applies.

  • Website that contains or connect to any illegal activities.
  • Website that contains hacking and phreaking
  • Website that contains hate based on race, religion, ethnicity or political affiliation
  • Website that contains spam, inappropriate newsgroup posting, or cyberbullying
  • Website that contains abusement, physical harm, and defamation of others

Adsterra Review: My Final Thoughts

Adsterra ad network is good for publishers who are finding it difficult to join top ad networks like Google Adsense, Ezoic, Mediavine, Raptive, etc. Adsterra customer support is awesome to an extent, and getting started with Adsterra is easy and straightforward, with instant approval. Also various payment methods are available and their payment threshold is low (depending on the payment method) compared to other top Ad networks like Google AdSense. However, the ad rates are low and you will require high volume of traffic from top tier countries before you can generate meaningful revenue, their high paying ads may increase website bounce rate. Their ads has minimal effect on your website speed.
